Refund Policy & Terms
Your satisfaction matters to us. We want you to feel confident joining the Journal of Wildlife Photography.

The following outlines our refund policy, membership terms, and general conditions of use. Please read carefully before purchasing.
Refund Policy
Because our products are digital and provide immediate access, refunds are limited. Refunds are intended to give members a reasonable opportunity to evaluate the Journal of Wildlife Photography rather than to participate fully and then request their money back. Whether a refund is available depends on how much of the membership has been used, as defined by the specific criteria below. All refunds are subject to approval.
When you’re eligible
You may request a refund within 30 days of purchase if:
- You have not submitted a photo to any Journal of Wildlife Photography contest
- You have not completed a substantial portion of a purchased course
- You are using the membership to evaluate the content rather than to participate in contests
When you’re not eligible
You are not eligible for a refund if:
- You have submitted an image to any photo contest
- You have completed 10 or more modules of a purchased course
- You have purchased photo contest entry credits
- The refund request is made more than 30 days after purchase
Logging into your account, browsing the dashboard, or previewing videos or resources does not disqualify you from requesting a refund. Once a contest entry is submitted, that portion of the membership has been used and cannot be refunded.
Subscriptions & Renewals
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.
- You must cancel through your dashboard at least 24 hours before renewal.
- Renewal refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
How to Request a Refund or Cancellation
All refund and cancellation requests must be submitted through our official support ticket system, or made directly to a live support agent during a real-time chat session.
Requests submitted through our automated chatbot, left as offline or unattended chat messages, or sent to marketing or non-support email addresses will not be processed. A message left for the chatbot or in an unattended chat is not a valid refund request. To be valid, a request must either be filed through the support ticket system or made to a live agent who is actively assisting you in real time.
Digital Delivery
All Journal of Wildlife Photography products are delivered digitally through online access or download.
Orders are typically processed immediately. In some cases, processing may take up to 24 hours.
You will receive a confirmation email with instructions to access your account and content.
We allow a reasonable number of downloads for personal use. In cases of clear misuse or abuse, we reserve the right to limit or suspend download access.
Content Access & Updates
The Journal of Wildlife Photography is an evolving educational platform.
We may update, revise, add, or remove content, including articles, videos, magazine issues, and training materials, to keep information current and relevant.
Access to content is tied to your active membership status.
Membership Types
Annual & Annual Plus Memberships
Annual and Annual Plus memberships renew automatically every 12 months on the original purchase date.
We send renewal reminder emails in advance. You may cancel at any time through your account dashboard to prevent future charges.
Lifetime Membership
A Lifetime Membership provides access for as long as the Journal of Wildlife Photography remains in operation.
Lifetime access refers to the lifespan of the company, not the individual member.
We recommend downloading any important resources you wish to keep for personal reference.
Photo Contests
Participation in photo contests is optional and subject to the following terms:
- All submitted images must depict wild, free, and unrestrained wildlife.
- Images must comply with stated contest rules and ethical guidelines.
- Judging is conducted blindly and by skill level where applicable.
- Original files may be requested for verification purposes.
All photo contest entry credits are final and non-refundable.
Premium & Prize Contests
From time to time, the Journal of Wildlife Photography hosts special photo contests featuring high-value prizes, such as camera bodies, lenses, and other premium equipment. All purchases associated with these contests — including entry fees, entry credits, and any related membership or add-on purchases made to participate — are final and non-refundable, with no exceptions. This applies regardless of the 30-day window or any other refund provision in this policy. By entering a premium or prize contest, you acknowledge and agree that your purchase cannot be refunded for any reason.
By submitting an image, you grant the Journal of Wildlife Photography permission to display submitted images for contest judging, results announcements, and educational purposes, with proper credit.
Payment Disputes
If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us through our official support ticket system before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card provider. Filing a chargeback without first contacting support, or after refund eligibility has lapsed under this policy, may result in suspension of account access pending resolution. We reserve the right to contest disputes that fall outside the terms of this refund policy.
General Terms
We are not responsible for technical issues beyond our control, including internet outages, browser compatibility issues, or user-side upload failures.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access in cases of abuse, fraud, or violation of these terms.
These terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the current version.
