I have been a bird photographer for almost 20 years. I have not switched to Miroless because no one with Miroless has been able to prove that the quality is better. As with any equipment it takes time to master. Just because you have the latest equipment with the latest electronics will not make you a better bird photographer.…

Testing my Nikkor Z 70-200mm lens + TC-2.0x

I took number of shots with this combo, personally I am happy with most of the photographs. It was a cloudy day and a minimal editing was applied.

I rented a Z8 body this weekend to compare it with my Z6ii. Overall, I’m impressed with the auto-focus and tracking.

It is a bit heaver than my older camera, and doesn’t balance as well with my sling strap.

All in all, I’m probably going to have to figure out how to buy one 😕

This is my first post. I´m more a bird photographer, but I am amazed by the close focus I can achieve with my new z 100-400 lens, so I am turning to look at insects now, and getting “near to macro” images, without changing lenses. I am glad I invested in such wonderful glass.
