<p>I&#8217;m wondering how you get valuable critique of your photos. Not just like: &#8216;oh, it&#8217;s beautiful&#8217;, but critique that makes you a better photographer. </p>
<p>I don&#8217;t find Facebook and IG are good places for that and I find that, good critique is really the way to improve our skills rapidly.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m currently getting the hang of my new Nikon Z6 III, thanks to Steve Perry&#8217;s fantastic videos and book. Honestly, how does he remember all this stuff? Anyway, I set up a blind in the yard and snapped some photos of the birds at the feeders. Here’s one I thought turned out pretty cool, though I definitely need more practice.</p>

I am new to Photoshop and that has pushed mysystem too far. My system keeps overheating because the cooling fans are not sufficient to keep up with the processing (design problem that seems to go&hellip;</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I took this bluebird picture this weekend and my reaction to it was &#8220;Darn. Almost.&#8221;  My husband, however, thought it was really neat.  I wanted more of the bird in focus, but his opinion was that the focal plane helped the viewer focus on the bird&#8217;s face and bug.</p>
<p>To him, this is what I should be trying to do instead of just &#8220;taking nice pictures&hellip;</p>

<p>This photo was up at Hyder, Alaska in early September 2017.  I took my first camera, a Canon 70D with a first generation EF 100-400mm on my first big trip to see big bears.  The image was at 210mm, F4.5, 1/160, and ISO 1000.</p>
<p>As I recall, this was early in the morning&hellip;</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="">I became obsessed with Mallard ducklings a couple of weeks ago because there was a makeshift pond next to an apartment complex (created from flooding) that provided a great nursery for them and interesting lighting reflections from the walls of the buildings.  I took around 2k photos in the span of 3 sessions and have culled them down to about 500 (lol)</p>
